About Boat Harbour
Boat Harbour is located along the Northumberland Strait south of Fishers Grant 24. Originally it was a tidal estuary, before the construction of a pulp and paper waste effluent treatment facility in the 1960s.
Boat Harbour is also the name of one of Pictou Landing First Nation‘s resource based Indian Reserves (Boat Harbour West IR 37), located just south of Boat Harbour.
