About Fisher’s Grant 24G

Fisher’s Grant 24G is a small resource based Indian Reserve administered by Pictou Landing First Nation. It is located along the south east side of Boat Harbour.

The name Fishers Grant refers to an early name for Pictou Landing that was after a large grant of land made to John Fisher in 1765.

The Reserve was created in 1927 with the approval of Order in Council document PC 2275 and survey plan 5222 CLSR NS. It was one of several smaller Reserves, the others were amalgamated into the main Fisher’s Grant 24 Reserve.
