Pictou County Maps: Topographic Map 011E10 (New Glasgow)
Topographic maps provide detailed information of features of a terrain accurately and to scale, on a two-dimensional plain. These types of maps contain details about terrain relief, hydrography (lakes, rivers etc.), forest cover, rural and populated areas, transportation routes, and various other man-made features. They make excellent planning tool and guides, and are used for a variety of different applications, from recreational uses like camping, fishing and hunting to urban planning, and resource management.
Pictou County with an area of 2,845 km² is spread across eight different 1:50,000 NTS map sheets.
The topographic map 011E10 is the only NTS map that contains only regions of Pictou County, and covers the areas surrounding the Towns of New Glasgow, Pictou, Westville, Stellarton, and Trenton.
It includes communities such as Pictou Landing, Chance Harbour, Little Harbour, Sutherlands River, McLellans Brook, Plymouth, Churchville, Riverton, Union Centre, Salt Springs, Lower Mount Thom, Scotsburn, Lyons Brook and many more.

NTS map sheet 011E10 is a NRCAN CanTopo legacy product, and was last published in 2011, the road network, boundaries and toponyms in the map are current as of 2011, however other information (such as contours and buildings) may be as old as 1994.
This map product is subject to the Canadian Open Government License and therefore is available to download and use for free.
