McKinnon Lake is a fresh water lake located south of Sunny Brae, within the the Sunny Brae Game Sanctuary. In 1930 the Canadian General Council of the Boy Scouts Association requested the area of land around McKinnon Lake to be set aside for the use of the Boy Scouts.
