Plymouth Park is a locality in Plymouth located just south of Stellarton along the East River.

Plymouth is a rural community located south of Stellarton near the East River. The communities we know as Riverton and Plymouth was originally one area and it was known as “Fish Pools” because of how splendid the trout fishing in the deep pools of the river was. An early name for the area was Irishtown until 1873 when both Irishtown and Churchtown became Plymouth.

Lovat - Pictou County

Lovat

Lovat is a rural community located south east of Salt Springs between the Middle and West Rivers. It was named after a place in Inverness, Scotland, (the seat of the Fraser clan).

Donald Cameron and John McKenzie settled here in 1810. Grants of land were made to Roderick McKenzie in 1813, to John McKay in 1814, to  James Fraser in 1815 and to Hector McKenzie in 1815.
