McLellans Mountain
The rural community of McLellans Mountain is located east of Kirkmount. This area was named from after McLellans Brook which flows in the area and was named after John McLennan, who settled at the mouth of the brook.

Watervale
Watervale is a rural area located along the West River, south east of Lower Mount Thom and west of New Gairloch. The name of the place is considered to be chosen for descriptive reasons. William Cameron emigrated from Inverness-shire and settled here sometime around 1801. In 1877 a factory for manufacturing rakes, implements, and furniture was operated by Samuel Archibald & Company in the area.
Willowdale
Willowdale is a rural community located along route 347 east of Rocky Mountain and west of East River Saint Marys. It was named after the large presence of willow trees that grew in the area.
