Kirks Brook is a small fresh water tributary that originates in the community of Hedgeville, flows north through the community of Seafoam, and then empties into Baillies Cove along the Northumberland Strait, between Seafoam and Toney River.
Campbells Brook
There are two Campbells Brook located in Pictou County. One is located along the Northumberland Strait, it originates in the community of Hedgeville, then flows north into the community of Seafoam and empties into MacDonalds Cove. The other Campbells Brook, is the south east corner of the county, it originates in the community of Laggan and then flows south through several communities before eventually flowing into East River St. Mary’s.
Hedgeville
Hedgeville is a small community in Pictou County located east of River John, and south of Melville and Seafoam. The community sits in a gently rolling rural landscape between the Northumberland Strait coastline and the interior uplands of Pictou County. The network of neibouring communities share cultural, economic, and historical ties, particularly through agriculture, forestry, and coastal connections.
