Donny Brook is a small freshwater brook that originates in the area south of MacEacherns Lake in the community of Black Brook. It flows south crossing into Antigonish County and eventually empties into the Ohio River.

Frasers Brook is a small freshwater brook that originates in the are south of the community of Black Brook and the north part of the community of East St. Marys. It flows south crossing into Guysborough County and eventually empties into the East St. Marys River.
It was Formerly known as Jordan Brook until the name was officially changed in 1976.
Black Brook Falls is a small cascading waterfall located along Black Brook, south of Sandy Gunns Lake.
Black Brook is a rural community located near the north end of Black Lake in the Keppoch area. There are also 2 natural watercourses located in the Pictou County that go by this name.
The East River St. Marys Nature Reserve received official designation made under the Special Places Protection Act in 2023. This reserve is particularly notable for supporting white elm and ironwood trees, species that are uncommon in Nova Scotia. Additionally, it provides critical habitat for wood turtles, a species at risk, underlining the area’s ecological importance.
The East River St. Marys is a fresh water river that drains out of Eden Lake and flows south into the main St. Marys River in Guysborough County (one of Nova Scotia’s longest at approximately 250 km).
East River St. Marys is a picturesque area located located in the south-east corner of Pictou County on the East River St. Mary’s in north central Nova Scotia. This region is characterized by its beautiful forested floodplain habitat.
