North Beach
Located along the northern shore of Pictou Island at the end of Factory Road, North Beach is a beautiful sandy beach with views of Prince Edward Island (on clear days), and was where many of the old canning factories were located on the island.
John Dans Cove
Located at the northern shore of Pictou Island. John Dans Cove is a large protected sandy area with limited public access.
Roger Point
Located at the southern tip of Pictou Island, Roger Point is a large sandy area that extends southerly into the Northumberland Strait. It contains beautiful sandbars and warmer water but does not have any easy public access. The only way to access the area is to walk along the rocky coastline from the Pictou Island wharf (or staying at an accommodation that has access).
Wharf Beach
Located just west of the Pictou Island wharf , Wharf Beach is an ideal place for day trips to Pictou Island. The beach is great spot for swimming and relaxing on beautiful warm sand and is a short walk to the Pictou Island Market.
East End Beach
Located at John MacCallum Memorial Park, on the easternmost tip of Pictou Island, East End Beach is renowned for its stunning sand and excellent swimming conditions
Pictou Island
Pictou Island is an island community located in the Northumberland Strait about 7.5 km north east of Caribou Harbour. The island is mainly wooded, with several clearings, and contains a small population spread across the island.
