Telford - Pictou County

Telford is a rural community located on NS Highway 4 (south of the Trans Canada Highway), south-east of the mouth of Sutherlands River. It is said to have been named after the early settlers.

The land was part of the Wentworth Grant of 1765, but settlement probably didn’t begin in the area until sometime between 1790 and 1820.

Population in 1956 was 54.
