About Six Mile Brook

Six Mile Brook is a rural community located south of the community of Four Mile Brook, this once thriving community remains a popular small rural area tied to forestry, agriculture, and quarrying.

It is also the name of the brook that starts flowing near the base of Dalhousie Mountain, and flows west through the community of Six Mile Brook and into eventually into the West River. It is considered to be a small, swiftly flowing stream in rugged terrain, less than 2 m wide in summer but expanding to 6–7 m across during freshets.
