About Rushton Beach Provincial Park
Rushton Beach Provincial Park is a popular sandy beach and picnic park located along the shores of the Northumberland Strait just off the sunrise in Marshville.
At low tide, when the water goes out, big sandbars appear, and the salt marsh nearby attracts many different kinds of birds. Public access to the beautiful beach is provided via a boardwalk to help protect the natural habitat.
One species of bird found at the park has been classified as being critically imperiled and three as being vulnerable to extirpation or extinction.
The size of Rushton Beach Provincial Park is 18.93 hectares.
