Sinclairs Island Beach is a beautiful sandy beach found along the shores of the Northumberland Strait in the community of Chance Harbour.

In geography, a beach is defined as the gently sloping zone of unconsolidated material along the shoreline where land meets water. Beaches are dynamic shaped by waves, tides, and currents, and vary widely depending on the type of sediment, ranging from fine sand to coarse gravel or often a hybrid mix of sediment materials.
Sandy beaches are the most familiar, formed where fine sediments are abundant, and provide a peaceful and tranquil atmosphere, often accompanied by a warm and gentle breeze.

Lighthouse Beach is a protected shoreline area at the head of Pictou Harbour in Pictou Landing. Officially recognized in 1974, it preserves natural beach habitat, coastal vegetation, and wildlife along one of the last undeveloped shoreline segments in the inner harbour.
Gordons Beach is located along the Northumberland Strait in the community of Toney River, between MacQuarrie Point and the Toney River wharf.

Lighthouse Beach Nature Reserve is a provincially recognized protected area located at the head of Pictou Harbour, in the community of Pictou Landing. The reserve protects a small but ecologically important section of coastal shoreline, beach habitat, and vegetation, forming part of the broader natural system that surrounds the inner harbour.
Cape John Beach Provincial Park is a small unclassified park reserve located along the shores of the Northumberland Strait, in the community of Cape John .
Waterside Beach Provincial Park is a small provincial park in the community of Waterside, near the west end of Caribou Island. It features a large sandy beach, several salt marshes, and warm waters thanks to the Northumberland Strait.
Chance Harbour Beach is a provincially recognized protected beach located along the shores of the Northumberland Strait in the rural community of Chance Harbour. Known for its quiet setting and natural character, the beach forms part of a larger coastal system of dunes, barrier beaches, and sheltered inlets that define this region’s warm‑water coastline.
Its protected status reflects the ecological sensitivity of these dune and marsh systems, which provide habitat for migratory birds, coastal plants, and shoreline species that depend on undisturbed environments.
