Pictou County Mineral Resource Land-Use Maps

Mineral resource land-use maps are geographic tools that provide information about the mineral resources available in a particular region, as well as how they are being used.

They are also used to educate the public about the importance of minerals and the potential impacts of their extraction. They also provide a comprehensive picture of the location and use of various minerals in an area, enabling land managers and planners to make informed decisions about mineral extraction and land use.

The Province of Nova Scotia creates maps based on the NTS 1:50k map index. Pictou County is spread across eight different Mineral resource land-use map sheets.
