About Mount Ephraim
Mount Ephraim is an elevated terrain feature located between Mount Thom and Dalhousie Mountain in western Pictou County. Its within one of the county’s most rugged upland regions, where steep slopes, forested ridges, and high plateaus define the landscape.
It was named after Ephriam Howard, who with Thomas Troop of Truro walked through the woods to help the Philadelphia settlers (from the on the brig, Hope) get established in 1767 at West River.
