About Marshville
Marshville is a rural coastal community located along Nova Scotia Highway 6 (Sunrise Trail), north west of River John. The name is descriptive. Settlement begun in this area about 1792 by four sons of David Langile. One of them, George, settled at Long Point.
Population in 1956 was 82.
Rushtons Beach Provincial Park offers sheltered picnic areas, protected salt marches, board walks, and a beautiful beach with large sandbars at low tide.
