About MacDonalds Cove
MacDonalds Cove is a natural coastal inlet located along the Northumberland Strait between Hornes Point and McAulays Reef in the community of Seafoam.
Campbells Brook feeds water and nutrients to the cove, contributing to its sheltered marine environment. The cove lies within a region shaped by Paleozoic geology, Scottish settlement, and a long tradition of maritime culture. Today, MacDonalds Cove remains a representative example of the small, rugged inlets that define Pictou County’s coastline.
