About Big Caribou Entrance

Little Caribou Entrance is a natural coastal water feature located on the south side of Caribou–Munroes Island along the shores of the Northumberland Strait.

It was once similar to Big Caribou Entrance providing boat access into Caribou Harbour, however over the years geomorphology has allowed a sandy spit to form between the Island and the mainland, making it difficult for any water crafts to enter the harbour from this area.
