He also includes some interesting stories about the people who settled and worked in the county, which helps bring the history to life.
The second part of the book focuses on the geography of the region. The Book provides readers with an excellent overview of the landscape during that time, and also provides some interesting facts about the area, such as the highest peak in the county and the longest river in the region, why towns were built in certain locations, and what made people people settle where they did.
The last part of the book is devoted to biographies of some of the more prominent citizens of Pictou County during that time period. It is interesting to read about some of the lives of the men and women who helped shape Pictou county.
