About Gull Point
Gull Point is located at the north easterly tip of Caribou Island, and extending out into the Northumberland Strait.
A lighthouse was built at Gull Point in 1868 and then replaced with a new structure in 1916. There is currently an unmanned structure there managed by the Government of Canada . This place is a great spot to get photos of the Northumberland Ferry as it sails from Nova Scotia to Prince Edward Island. At low tide there are several sand bars exposed, making a fun place in the summer.
