Grant Lake
Grant lake is located in Millstream, just west of the Centerdale Road. It is sometimes referred to by locals as Grants Lake, and some say the lake is shaped like a fish.
It was named after the Grant family, prominent early Scottish immigrants who settled in Pictou County. James Grant, from Inverness, Scotland, established both a grist mill and sawmill at Grant Lake in the late 18th century.
Parts of the original stone foundation for one of the Grant Mills still exists and can be found by walking along Millstream Brook.

Pictou County Boy Scouts held an annual Camporee at the south end of the lake for several decades.
It is known to be a great recreational fishing spot with easy access, containing brook trout, rainbow trout, and perch. Provincial records show regular stocking of speckled trout (brook trout) and occasional releases of Atlantic salmon and bass into lakes in the region
It is small, about 22.7 hectares in size, has a mean depth of 3.1 m, with its deepest part being just over 9 metres. It has an average hardness as CaCO3 (mg/L) of 12, and a PH of 7.
