Frasers Mountain - Pictou County

Frasers Mountain is a rural community located north east of New Glasgow. Settlers Archibald McKay and Donald Cameron settled here about 1801. A lot was granted to Isaac Wharing in 1789.

Population in 1956 was 175.

The Frasers Mountain name also refers to the modest upland terrain feature that rises up to about 146 m. Officially recognized as a mountain in 1976, it appears in historic maps and atlases, anchoring both cultural memory and geographic landscape.
