About Fortyfour Point
Fortyfour Point, sometimes referred to locally as Point Forty Four, is a scenic coastal area in Little Harbour, known for its warm water beaches, natural sandbars, and peaceful rural setting.
The area includes a large natural sandbar that protects the harbour, creating ideal conditions for swimming, paddling, and lazy summer afternoons by the water. The surrounding landscape blends forest, open fields, and cottage roads, giving the point a relaxed, maritime character.

Along the shore of Little Harbour by Marie Cullen, Shirley Aikens, & Margaret Forbes, is a great resource for stories and history of Little Harbour and surroundings area (Anderson Mountain, Black Point, Boat Harbour, Chance Harbour, Kings Head, Little Harbour and Woodburn).
It provides details about many of the families that first settled the area, businesses, industry, hard ships, churches, schools, fire stations, and more. This book is now available to read online.
