About Archibald Brook

Archibald Brook is a small natural watercourse in the Pictou County that originates in the uplands around of the community of Glencoe. From its headwaters east of Little Lake, the brook flows north through wooded and agricultural landscapes, eventually emptying into the East River near the Bridgeville area.
The brook contributes to the hydrological network of the East River that sustains local ecosystems and rural livelihoods. The name “Archibald” itself reflects the Scottish heritage of Pictou County, where many place names commemorate early settlers and families.
